Weekend Blog: Some relief in site! Plus, your long range forecast. -Doug

I hope you have been staying somewhat cool in all of this heat.  We really need a break and we need some rain very badly.  Look at this month so far.

Hot again on Saturday with highs in the 100-102 range once again.  Much of the same on Sunday, but at least a chance for a few isolated late day storms on Sunday mainly north of I-44.

This front that will fire off these isolated storms lifts back toward the north on Monday keeping the heat around.  We could start the day Monday with a few scattered thunderstorms.

This front will stay north of the region until Wednesday.  By Wednesday afternoon, it will start to push back in giving us a few scattered thunderstorms.  However, as of right now, it looks like it should push through on Thursday sometime and give us much better chances for rain and drop our temperatures into the upper 80s or lower 90s!

Check out my long range forecast below.

Next Weekend: Some isolated thunderstorms, but temperatures back into the upper 80s to lower 90s.

July 31st-August 6th: Another hot week for us.  But some hit and miss storms most of the week, or chances.

August 7th-August 13th:  A little bit cooler this week.  Still hot but not extreme heat.  Slight chances for storms on Sunday and Thursday.

August 14th-August 20th: A hot week again with isolated storms from Wednesday through Saturday.

August 21st-August 27th:  Mainly a hot week, but cooling down a bit by the weekend.  Hit and miss storms late in the week.
